Lugia EX Full Art- Plasma Storm Pokemon Card Review

Today's Pokemon card review is of a much talked about Lugia EX full art.

Overview:
Today's pokemon card review is of the Lugia EX full art from the Plasma Storm Pokemon Card set. Lugia is a basic, colorless type pokemon with 180HP. It has a x2 weakness to electric, a -20 resistance to fighting, and a retreat cost of 2 colorless energies. Lugia has one ability which is Overflow. This ability says that If your opponent's pokemon gets knocked out by damage, take 1 more prize card. It also has a move called Plasma Gale which deals an extraordinary amount of damage, 200 to be exact. Plasma Gale requires 4 colorless energies, but one of them has to be a Plasma Energy, which can only be obtained through the Plasma Storm Pokemon Card set.

Strategy:
You might be thinking Lugia EX is an amazing card that can deal a great amount of damage, but there is a catch. You have to have a Plasma Energy attached to Lugia EX for the damage to do anything at all. If you don't have that Plasma Storm energy, Lugia EX is practically useless. While helpful being a basic pokemon, and a strong one at that, it does have its downfalls. I only recommend you use this card in your deck if you are building a Plasma Storm deck. In my opinion this is honestly one of the least playable cards in the Plasma Storm series. First off, if Lugia EX is your active pokemon, its ability is based off of doing damage to the opponents pokemon. But if you dont have any Plasma Storm energies you're pretty much screwed to say the least.

Rating:
I give Lugia EX a 3/5. It's an OK basic in my opinion. It is a playable card in some instances, like if you happen to have a few of the Plasma Storm energies in the deck to pair with Lugia EX. But because it is a EX, then the opponent gets to take 2 prize cards, but is it pretty unlikely due to the 180HP. Overall I wouldn't really recommend this card.

Tomorrow's Pokemon Card:
Thanks for reading today's pokemon card review of Lugia EX full art from the Plasma Storm set.
Stay tuned for tomorrow's card which will be another card that has been debated a lot in the Plasma Storm series, Articuno EX
