Victini EX Full Art- Plasma Storm Card Review

Sorry about that guys, in my last post I forgot to say my next card will be Victini EX:/
Overview:
Today's Pokemon card review will be of Victini EX. Victini EX is a Fire type Pokemon with a weakness to water x2, no resistance, a retreat cost of one colorless energy, and 110HP. This Pokemon has no abilities, but has two moves. One of them being Turbo Energize, which requires one fire energy, allows you to search your deck for 2 basic energy cards and attach them to your benched Pokemon any way you like, then you shuffle your deck afterwards. The second move is called Intensifying Burn, which requires one fire energy, and two double colorless energies. This move does 50+ damage, which in this case says that if the defending pokemon is also an EX, then this attack does 30 more damage.

Strategy:
Victini EX is a pretty great card for gameplay. First off, if you can get get him out in your active at the beginning, its first move is pretty much just setting up itself. You draw two basic energies. If you already have a fire energy attached, two more energies is pretty much all you need for Intensifying Burn. Even though you have to put them on your benched pokemon, you could easily get them to Victini EX with a couple of energy reversals. His second move, Intensifying Burn, is a great move if you are trying to finish off an opponent's EX to get that 1 extra prize card when you defeat an EX. Very handy in gameplay, especially for the fact that, in my opinion, it doesn't take that many energies. 3 energies for a move that can end up doing 80 damage to an EX is pretty good in my opinion. Victini is one of the EX's that doesn't have that much HP though, so an opponent's EX can easily knock him out, so you'll want to have that energy ready to retreat him just incase things get ugly.

Rating:
I will give Victini a 4/5. It is a relatively good card being an EX, even though it kind of drew the short straw when it comes to HP. Victini is one of those great pokemon that has the power to really help out the rest of the team when it uses its move Turbo Energize. And its Intensifying Burn will be very helpful in game play against a strong opponent who has a few EX's. Overall great moves that don't do any damage to itself, which is also nice. Victini EX's retreat cost is simply awesome. Only one colorless energy, which in case you don't know can be any energy. A resistance might have been helpful though, especially when your opponent is using water pokemon in their deck. Just a great pokemon to have in your deck if you have the backup with the trainers and a few other good Pokemom.

Tomorrow's Pokemom Card:
Thank you guys for reading today's review on Victini EX, hope you guys enjoyed it. Tomorrow I will be posting a review on Cubchoo from the Next Destinies Series, so stay tuned!

Articuno EX- Plasma Storm Card Review

Overview:
Today's Pokenon card review will be of Articuno EX from the Plasma Storm Series. Articuno EX is a basic water-type Pokemon with 170HP, a weakness to steel X2, a resistance to fighting -20, and a retreat cost of only one colorless energy. This Pokemon has no abilities, but has two moves. The one, requiring a water energy and two colorless energies is Blizzard which deals a total of 60 damage to your opponent's active pokemon, and 10 more damage to each of the opponent's benched Pokemon. The second is Frost Prison, which deals 80 damage, but can also paralyze the enemy if it has a Plasma Energy attached.

Strategy:
Articuno EX is a pretty good card in my opinion. Fist off, it's a basic Pokemon which can be easily played. Second, its moves give you upper hand with the damage that it deals. This card is great for any pair up, especially if you have a fire/water deck. Blizzard only requires one water energy, so it is pretty easy to play. And Frost Prison is just an extra water energy. Articuno is one of the cards you'll want to power up on your bench, because it does take a few energies to use it. It's coin flip to paralyze will really help you if you're down by a couple of prizes. Don't even get me started on its retreat only being at one colorless energy, which is probably one of the most helpful things to have in the game.

Rating:
I give this card a 4/5, and there are a few reasons why. First off its high HP really helps you out if you're not powered up all of the way. Articuno EX's moves do a pretty good amount of damage, even though I feel like  blizzard takes a bit too many energies considering it only does 60 damage. On the other hand, I'm fine with Frost Prison and the damage it deals. And it has an amazing retreat cost, which you don't see very often on EX cards. Like any other EX this card, when knocked out, the opponent gets to take two prize cards. But this card is so playable and helpful I don't see that being a problem. The only bad part about this card in my opinion is its moves do take a lot of energies. So overall a really great card for gameplay, really playable.

Tomorrow's Pokemon Card:

Lugia EX Full Art- Plasma Storm Pokemon Card Review

Today's Pokemon card review is of a much talked about Lugia EX full art.

Overview:
Today's pokemon card review is of the Lugia EX full art from the Plasma Storm Pokemon Card set. Lugia is a basic, colorless type pokemon with 180HP. It has a x2 weakness to electric, a -20 resistance to fighting, and a retreat cost of 2 colorless energies. Lugia has one ability which is Overflow. This ability says that If your opponent's pokemon gets knocked out by damage, take 1 more prize card. It also has a move called Plasma Gale which deals an extraordinary amount of damage, 200 to be exact. Plasma Gale requires 4 colorless energies, but one of them has to be a Plasma Energy, which can only be obtained through the Plasma Storm Pokemon Card set.

Strategy:
You might be thinking Lugia EX is an amazing card that can deal a great amount of damage, but there is a catch. You have to have a Plasma Energy attached to Lugia EX for the damage to do anything at all. If you don't have that Plasma Storm energy, Lugia EX is practically useless. While helpful being a basic pokemon, and a strong one at that, it does have its downfalls. I only recommend you use this card in your deck if you are building a Plasma Storm deck. In my opinion this is honestly one of the least playable cards in the Plasma Storm series. First off, if Lugia EX is your active pokemon, its ability is based off of doing damage to the opponents pokemon. But if you dont have any Plasma Storm energies you're pretty much screwed to say the least.

Rating:
I give Lugia EX a 3/5. It's an OK basic in my opinion. It is a playable card in some instances, like if you happen to have a few of the Plasma Storm energies in the deck to pair with Lugia EX. But because it is a EX, then the opponent gets to take 2 prize cards, but is it pretty unlikely due to the 180HP. Overall I wouldn't really recommend this card.

Tomorrow's Pokemon Card:
Thanks for reading today's pokemon card review of Lugia EX full art from the Plasma Storm set.
Stay tuned for tomorrow's card which will be another card that has been debated a lot in the Plasma Storm series, Articuno EX

Welcome to my Blog

Hello there everybody! My name is Preston Anderson, also known as Prestovie123. If you're a subscriber(first I'd like to thank you) then you already know that I have started posting videos related to Pokémon. Pokémon has always been a hobby of mine, but I had never posted videos on it before. But I feel there are something's that you can't really do in a video, or some things that I would just rather blog about:)
In this blog, I will be doing all sorts of things related to Pokémon, but mostly Pokémon TCG, also known as the card game. This includes one of my favorite things: card reviews. Everyday I will be uploading a new card review for you guys, which will just let you know how they function in play, what their attacks are, opinions of others and even my own opinion on the card.
I really hope you guys enjoy my blog. Please feel free to comment your opinions and send me feedback. I will also be taking requests on which card to review next or what I should do next.

Enjoy:)
